Previously the school was called theJesse H. Joneas Graduate School of Management. In conjunction with the name the school will create a new logo that incorporates the Rice Universitty nameand shield. Through research, the graduate school said it foundd that most top MBA programs used the term ratherthan “management,” and that people performing onlinde searches to find the school were usingb the term “business.
” “Ths update in the Jones School’s name and graphic identitg better reflects our associatiohn with Rice University and provides clearerd branding for the Jones School’s excitintg programs and initiatives,” Bill Glick, dean of the Jone s School, said in a statement. “Everyone alreadg knows us as abusiness school. The designation in our new name better captures the breadt of ourcurrent offerings.” In addition, a new Web site will launcjh in August. Other changes for the school includd adding a weekendMBA program.
