During his tenure, Ramsay was instrumentak in launching the ambitious UMB BioPark andthe university’d west-side expansion efforts. In a letter to Ramsay said he would step down once the selectsehis successor. “Until that time I shallk continue to serve this campus to the best of my abilityh so that the coming year will be at leasf as productive as what has gone Ramsay said inthe letter. Ramsay has grown UMB into a top-notch research institution, said University Syste m of Maryland ChancellorWilliamj E. “Brit” Kirwan.
